From A. H. Haig to W. E. Darwin 9 August 1882

32 Randolph gardens, Kilburn, London N. W.

Aug 9th 1882.

Dear Sir

I am obliged by your letter and I am very glad you so far approve of the etching. The impression I sent you I meant you to keep for yourself, to do with what you like, but I ought to sign it sometime. At least 6 could be at your disposal at trade-price, and they can be had as well as the 8 by the 12th Sept. but would have to be signed afterwards as I am going away now; perhaps I can so arrange that they would be sent to me for signing and returned in time. I will try. I am writing to Dunthorn about your suggestion concerning having some impressions at Wiseman's and I think it a capital opportunity which I thank you for mentioning. I also thank you for your kind promise to interest some of your friends for the matter and

believe me, dear Sir! | Yours faithfully | A. H. Haig

E. W. Darwin Esqr

Some signed proofs will probably be ready to send down by the 23rd inst.
