5. Bertie Terrace. Leamington
July 27th.
My dear Emma,
As Bessy is a great hand at heraldry, I have asked her to draw me out the arms for George. I shall be proud to think he has painted them!
My sister & myself are so fond of Genealogies, that I hope your son may help us. I will ask Frank to send us the Butler Arms, & then you shall have them.
I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to me, seeing you all at Down, & most glad I shall be to offer myself for a night, when I am next in London. Now I know my way to Bromley, it seems no distance. I am very glad to hear from Susan, of Catharine's intended marriage to Mr. Langton— From her account, you all like the connexion.
I want very much to possess my cousin Charles' signature, could you send me two—one, is for me to paste under his Photograph which I have framed, in the Dining room, & I am unreasonable enough to want a second, to paste in his book of "Natural Selection"—
I am going to write Reginald Darwin, about a book, & I will ask him to send me arms of the Landons, Jessops & Worsleys, if he can.
It may be some days, possibly a week before I can get them, as I am obliged to be often from Home for two or three days at a time, owing to the death of my Aunt Mrs. Brewin—& being an Exor. with Adele, we have often to meet.
My joins me in kind love to yourself & Charles & my young Cousins & believe me
Yours' affectionately | Emma S Galton
Reginalds boy is Sacheveral, called Chev: for short.
