My dear William
Your conversation with Mr Atherley was very satisfactory & your father & I should have been very sorry if you had had to begin life again so soon. We think you will have to consider yourself bound to Mr A. in the same way that he does to you unless some strong reason should turn up
On Saturday Uncle Harry Aunts [illeg] & Eliz. came down & spent Sunday with us. Henrietta went up to Cumberland P. & tonight she goes at Mrs Andrews her singing mistress, with Elinor C. & one of her brothers. I have invited the Josselinas who are in London to come back with her. They are grown so very larky going about by themselves that I dare say they will.
Horace was so much revived by the playing with Harry Richardson yesterday that I quite long for him every day only it is a thing one could never stop if it once began. Do you think you shall be able to come at Easter. I am sorry to say the fates will have it that we must have Mrs Frank part of the time but she will not be here till Easter Monday so if you cd come on the Thursday it would be the best way.
[Rose] Mabel & Lawrence will also be here & not George who stays to grind at Clapham— Did you hear of John Allen's good fortune in getting a pretty good girl of 25 to marry him, he being 42. Not in the highest circles but that does not matter.
Yours my | dear Wm | E. D.
