My dear William
Will you send for a parcel for your father (from Dr Krüger of Trinidad) at Messrs G. Dunlops with the enclosed paper & send it by rail to the care of the Down post man Bromley station | Kent
Papa has had a baddish week or ten days, with no two good days together but I hope is going to be better today. Hen. is gone to the Tollets this mg. to go to a morning Opera Faust. Mme Sherrington who will be nice tho' not equal to Titicus. She comes home tomorrow. Some days Your father has got out as many as four times in the day. Mr Spengle is gone up today to consult Dr Jenner not that we expect any positive good from him but it is satisfactory to leave no stone unturned. Aunt Jessie writes a very poor account of Major K. who is just returned very thin & with a very bad cough. Louisa is with the Ks at Hereford & Major K is soon coming to Woodfield— Horace is certainly more energetic & sticks to his reading & Euclid by himself.
The working room is a great resource now he is by himself. He is trying to manufacture soda water for your father in our fizzing machine.
Yours my dear W | E. D.
