My dear Sara
We returned home very prosperous & fresh & Frank arrived about 5—which Bernard took as quite a matter or course but a pleasant event. After all my courage gave way about my early concert & I may try my fate on Sat or Monday— I really have a good many scrattles to do tho you will hardly believe it—
We talked a great deal about our happy visit & about our dear daughter Sara, who is indeed most to F.
Some time Wm must tell me how the concert answered. He would have to ""favour the delusion"" to Rose in any case.
In time we want to know all yr daily affairs—Mrs Lowell—Mrs Burnett—& how you get on generally.
yours my dear Sara | E.D—
I am ashamed to say that I left my satin hood on a peg in the hall & should be glad to have it by post— I hope nothing else may turn up.
