My dear William

It is pleasant to hear of Sara being all the better, & how delightful Lily must feel it to be well again—

I am so glad to hear that you are off to Spa on the 27th & Bessy will hold herself in readiness to join Sara when you leave her— We have just heard that Bernard is among the 7 elected for Eton— It shews him to be very clever, but I wish he had not been quite so successful.

There is the anxiety of a new school & fresh companions when he is so well off as he is— Here are F's & H's letters which I shall like to have again some time. The Leonards are here, & he says that Horace enjoys intensely being at work again.

They did their photoing on the top of the Castle Hill aiming at Kings— & an immense quantity of talking besides—

Ida enjoys her garden & feels as if she could never bear to leave home again–- Hen goes today— She was v unwell for 3 or 4 days— She is to see Dr Bright again on Thursday—

They have given up all thoughts of going to Brides, to my gt satisfaction as her health is too uhncertain and she is so utterly knocked down by any ailment—

Yes O'Connor is a wretch & utterly incapable of being ashamed of himself—

Not m. more absurd than Davitt accusing the Govt & Le Caron of having placed the shame Dynamite in the Court. Albert Dicey says that when the Comm. is over there will . . .
