From Horace Darwin to G. H. Darwin 18 July 1877

Down,| Beckenham, Kent. | Railway Station | Orpington. S.E.R.

July 18th.1877.

Dear George.

I think that I had better take Dew's lodgings if I can get them. I thought from his letter that it was chiefly his caution, as you say in your letter.

He said that Trotter had taken them but thought that I could get them. Would you mind see-ing Trotter &—if you don't think it a cool thing to do—to engage them for me for the Oct. term if you can; I certainly shant be up before the freshmen come so I suppose I need not take them before that. Of course if you think it cool don't ask Trotter, & I will come up sometime soon & look about. I shant go to the B. Ass. I think, I should have like to have gone with you. Ive got me new 56"' Bicycle & she goes very nicely

H Darwin
