Only a bulletin today which will be a good one. I am going to take Brodie a little drive of an hour, the day is so enchanting, & I want to judge for myself about the mare. It is over the fortnight today, but Papa has lost 1 lb again. I cd not think what made you so prosy & twaddling in your letter but Papa twigged Mr Palgrave directly. He has been outdoing himself lately. Tell Wm I do hope he will be able to come for a day or 2 & I will pay his journey to South. as a bribe— Thank for his letter. Brodie was quite exulting about G's success in shooting. also Parslow who quite feels it is his own doing Papa is rather alarmed at its being so good.
