My dear Bodies

The rain made us very low as ti began hard & steady 1/2 an hour after you went but Tom said you had not much & did not get wet which I hope was true. Today does not seem hopeless. Thank At Caroline with my love for her 2nd note which it was a pity she wrote I only got it today. I will write to her about plans. If Eras will have us I have no doubt we shall go to London about Thursday fortnight, & then we can have Lizzy on the Sat. Papa went out like a hero twice in the pouring rain & had a good afternoon. We worked Anne as my eyes did not get fit for reading They are all right today. A very pretty set of photos. from Hengwrt. I took off all envelopes to save 1d. but read not even Em. Th. Eras. is gone to Shrewsbury which I am very glad of. My soul is full of apples & I have got Croftons gathered in spite of wet & shall set Brodie to work. Papa has lost weight again which is odd 1 1/4 lb

Goodbye my dears | I have had a good deal to write. | Yours E. D.

I have written to Fanny Hen.
