Dearest H.

We got here by lunch time v. comf—w. carriage to ourselves— B. will have told you of our bustling Wed—but she will not have told you of our pleasant winding up— Miss Gladstone paying a call of 212 hrs & telling the good news that she is coming to be [See]— to Mrs Sidgwick at Newnham She is ev. v. fond of H. & Ida & v. nice & cordial & with humour & merriment she had only just had her mother's entire consent to the scheme & I don't wonder she does not like losing so pleasant a dau—

Horace was up to the eyes in work putting up a lightening conductor at M. Foster's. He bicycled back to the lunch at F. Balfours w. F enjoyed m. & then back again to his work— Today they will be in a wild scrummage- –-

I am a good deal better & went [two] nice little larks; but I am going to see Dr C. tomorrow, tho' I shall be r. ashamed of being so little amiss— Ida is so well & hungry & merry—

I am sorry to say I lost your second address; so this must go to your first & please to send me word—

Eras is tol. but it is roasting hot here we had not one glimpse of sun during our 5 days— F. enjoyed them heartily & did kiss Ida—

Bessy is gone after stays & will look up Sara & At Grace—

Miss Gladstone told us some of the odd letters & Tels they recd during the illness one was

""For God's sake try aconite"", The gt Dew came to tea & had a feast of jams. He did not please me or otherwise. J. W. Clark was v. pleasant
