From H. E. Darwin to H. E. Wedgwood [25 September 1867]

Dear Ti—

Papa thinks the account of the moths extremely curious— There is no such case known— He is aghast at the pity of not keeping the moth caught— If any other can be found—only it is no use collecting a moth which looks like it unless it shines—to observe exactly whence the light come from to put it at once in a bottle of brandy & send it to Papa— He will get J. Lubbock to dissect it who'll be only too glad—I'm afraid as you say it will be too late— We are juss off so adoo— Thanks many for yr. pitty Xmas present—I'm very corrius to see what they turn—I spose we shall make out whther they are green house or garden—
