Wednesday
My dear Lenny
I will have a good dinner probably a goose on Mich. day; & I advise you only to walk from Bromley & rail the rest of the way. We shall be very glad to see any boys who like to come—
Your little letter was quite in time & contained a great deal considering. Tell G. we will send up Parslow about the plate & he shall get it crested & quite plain as he wishes, also his sheets & towels shall be ready.
The Langtons came on Saturday & Edmund is staying a few days longer than Mr & Mrs who returned to Hartfield yesterday. Ed. shoots & rides with Hen. & takes ten turns round the sand walk with Horace telling him all about Tyndall's lectures &c which he enjoys very much.
Louisa came on Sunday half killed with her journey & passage & she is so thin with her French diet of chiefly bread that it is quite a pleasure to see her eating a good dinner of meat.
We will send you back of course on the 29th
Goodbye my dear Boys, your affect. | E. D.
Thank Frank for his letter.
