Sunday
My dear Leo.
You will not have heard of F. being so unwell till he is almost right again–-
On Tuesday he had a very partial affection of the memory such as he has had twice before some years ago.
He felt very unwell & had shocks in the head & fainting feelings before every fit of flatulence. He was m. better on Wed. & I thought it was quite over & worse again on Thursday with the fainting feelings & we sent for Dr Clarke who came yesterday evg. when F. was very much better. Dr C. gave us the great satisfaction of being convinced that the head symptoms are secondary from indigestion & not alarming.
He is downstairs today & I expect will be as well as usual in a day or 2. I am very glad we saw Dr C. He is going to send him a dietary & is convinced that he can do him good. He is not very struck about work—; but I am pretty well convinced that this attack is owing to continued work on all the plants. No more today—
I hope Horace (whose is at Barl.) will manage to get over to see us.
yours my dear Leo | E. D—
