My dear George

I am going to ask you for some information, which I hope won't bore you much. I want to take my M.A. this May & should be very much obliged if you will find out what days I can take it & whether anything has to be done beforehand, also whether I may put up at an Inn now I am married, for I suppose a B.A. can't in general, also I want to know when the races come off, as we want to be at Cambridge when the fun is going on  I dare say I c^d. hire gown &c from your tailor, or from Bainbridge if his feelings are not hurt at my deserting him—

Will you please let me have a line as soon as you have found out these things for me at the Hotel de France et Bath Rue S^t. Honoré Paris? We are starting off tonight over Mont Cenis for Paris where we shall stay a few days having brought our tour which has been most successful to an end  We have been travelling hard from Naples since Sunday—
