From Edmund Langton to G. H. Darwin 2 May [1867]

May 2

My dear George

I am going to ask you for some information, which I hope won't bore you much. I want to take my M.A. this May & should be very much obliged if you will find out what days I can take it & whether anything has to be done beforehand, also whether I may put up at an Inn now I am married, for I suppose a B.A. can't in general, also I want to know when the races come off, as we want to be at Cambridge when the fun is going on  I dare say I cd. hire gown &c from your tailor, or from Bainbridge if his feelings are not hurt at my deserting him—

Will you please let me have a line as soon as you have found out these things for me at the Hotel de France et Bath Rue St. Honoré Paris? We are starting off tonight over Mont Cenis for Paris where we shall stay a few days having brought our tour which has been most successful to an end  We have been travelling hard from Naples since Sunday—

Your most affect. cousin | E Langton
