My dear Darwin,
It is really very good of you, under the circumstance to send me the article, which is A1 & just the thing. You have hit off what I wanted to a t. It was better not to put the other papers in, but if you are disposed to give me another article as a sort of continuation of this, summarizing effect of geological changes on obliquity of ecliptic, & results for law of density's of planets (for they all seem to me more or less connected) I should be very glad of it. It is rather a shame when you have given me so much to beg for more but you see I appreciate it. Of course there is no immediate hurry & I do not want to fix a limit to the length of an article, though, as we can only spare about 12 pages each month for articles & reviews (during the Session), they should not be longer than is necessary. But it is of no use spoiling a thing by cutting it down too much & I would leave it as much as possible to the writer. I mention this for fear you might have thought I was tying you down to a certain number of pages. The first No. is to come out on April 20 (the third Friday in the month)— Taylor & Francis print & publish (price a shilling 32 pages 8vo). I mean to advertize in a few days & to send a circular round to astronomers.
Yours sincerely | W. H. M. Christie
