From H. S. Maine to G. H. Darwin 19 October [1877 or 1878]

Trinity Hall Lodge.

Oct. 19

My dear Mr Darwin,

My wife, who is not very well, has asked me to say for her that the missing note expressed a hope that you would be able to give us the pleasure of your company at dinner on Friday next, the 25th, at 7.30. We have only a small party.

Very truly yours | H. S. Maine

G. H. Darwin Esq
