My dear William

Now Edmund is gone we don't have much billiards & I sometimes go & knock the balls about dismally or have a game with the boys. And when it is fine we go & bathe the water is rather muddy & you have to walk some way with the water just covering your ancles which makes it much harder to duck your head when you get deep there's plenty of room to swim in. There's not a single moth to be seen & I've only caught three since I've been here.

The day before yesterday I went to London to fetch Sir H. Holland for Etty; I had a most awful lot of things to do, & when I cam back to London Bridge I could hardly carry them all from the cab.

Nearly every one has got a bilious attack in London at Uncle Ras's there was Erny, Mac, & Bessy all ill with it; & as soon as ever Uncle Hensleigh was gone down to Tenby he had one. Sir H. H cane here yesterday & Mama will tell you all about it. The weather is the very essence of dismality we have about one fine day per week; just this minute it has just begun to pour. Miss Ludwig is coming here today so the boys have come down to Uncle Langton's.

I remain | your affec: GHD
