My dear Mama
I find Monte Christo very good fun; there are two volumes each about 500 pages long. I have found a shop for my shirts and I went there yesterday with Williams shirt & ordered one to be made to try on. I shall want some new collars as all my old ones are made to button on separate buttons. The Shirts will be about s6/d6 as you prophesied; how many shirts shall I have? I don't intend to go to any great expense about Studs; I think William said he could give me a pair of links, my old shirts are in a fearful state. Shall we send you "No Name" when we've done with it! The boys at last have nearly got new hats.— What does Sir H. H think about Horace, remember to tell us? Remind Etty to unset the moths.
