Dear William

I shd like some pattterns of Scotch tweed very much; I hope they'are not all very thick. The boys have gone home today for their Easter holidays & I stop here to mug. We had our Athlete Sports yesterday & they were very successful, we had a band & all that sort of thing & it was very fine. I didn't win anything, at least a first prize; I was Second in the high jump clearing 4 ft 8^1/8^in & the winner (who is about 6ft 1in) did 4ft 11^1/4in. F. was second in his high jump (for those under 16) & did 4f 4^1/2^in & the winner did the same as I did wh: was really excellent. L. was just over 14 yrs & so couldn't go in for the 2nd division & it was no use his going in for the others.

I was 3rd in a hurdle race & in a 100 yds. In our throwing the cricket ball 97 yds was done. However it all over & nothing remains but to grind.

I remain | Your affec. brother | G. H. Darwin
