Papa gives his consent about the canoe only Lenny must remember that people are drowned & that in case of a capsize the safest thing when possible is to lay hold of the canoe & wait patiently. We are expecting William today which will make you jealous.
Jossi go today. We heard such a bad account of Aunt Susan that Aunt Caroline started to Shrewsbury at once; but she will have found her better. Wm will send you & Lenny Aunt Fanny Hensleighs account of the Brit. Assoc & Papa's honour & glory which I shd have liked to witness.
Cicely has a little girl in safety as yet, but it is too soon to judge— I did read your scratched out sentence master. Also I doubt whether you read over your letter as there was my old friend joly for jolly also hapned for happened.

I think we are buying a horse but you shall hear. They say the enlargement on Polly's ancles has disappeared but she is still very lame so we have not given the man his 2 guineas yet.
