From Emma Darwin to Horace Darwin [29 Jan 1867?]

Down

Tuesday.

My dear Horace

I shd have written sooner but I was taken bad on Thursday & in bed for 2 or 3 days. I am well again now. Thank you for your nice letter.

Poor Gingo was much vexed to set in on his hunting morning with a feverish cold & headache which however did not last very long. It has been delightfully warm.

They had the last game of pool last night with only four. George pretends he is going to Cambridge today but he is just going to toss up to see whether he can’t stay. Wm came on Saturday as well as the Ludwigs. Camilla was disappointed to miss you. She seems well & comfortable. Not so poor little Louisa who looks shrunk & ill. Goodbye my dear | my love to Pouts. | E.D.

Coming not comming—though it was very well spelt.

I am very glad you are moved. How lucky it was you did some work with George—
