Dear Horace

F. Balfour came yesterday   He seems awfully well— He will be in England for a fortnight. He says he perhaps w^d. come to Down for a Sunday, but Gerald wants him not to do so. It w^d. be next Sunday if at all I suppose— F. will write to you in a few days   I’ve not asked him to Down— prob. I sh^d. come home for Sunday if he came as I shall be in London on Friday to go to Rayleigh’s lecture at R.I.
