From Horace Darwin to Emma Darwin 20 May 1876

Basset, | Southampton.

May 20th. 1876

Dear Mother

We went a little drive on Sat. evening wh. suited W. very well, and we have just come back from a very pretty drive through W. Stoneham Park. He is better to day than he was yesterday and going on very satisfactorily in every way. I am going up to town tomorrow for the day, & coming back in the evening, so shall not write tomorrow to see about the planetary motion, wh. I believe is done, or nearly so. George wrote me a line to say that it is not too late to send it to the Loan Exhibition at S. Kensington if it is a great success, so I want to get it done as soon as possible, for the chance. I went and played lawn tennis at the Hankinsons a bit but it was not much of play. Tell Lenny that I got his letter all right, about the Crammers
