Dear George

I never thanked you for looking over my spanner. There are heaps of things I want to talk to you about. Firstly & Chiefly that confounded Bonham has invented an improvement in the elliptical motion machine, wh. makes it much simpler & lighter, d—mn him. and it will make nearly all my old work useless: 2ndly I have been thinking over my 3 legged ProcellierQQQQ cell and I have come to the conclusion that it wont do, because it would have to be so big that the whole machine would have to be at least 12ft high, probably 14ft.

But I’m going to do it some how. I shall come up to Cam. some time in about a month; shall you be up all this term? I want very much to see the pitch; & there some other things I want to talk about. I beleive you are at home to day but I shall send this to Cam.

Yours | H Darwin
