Sunday

Dear George

Will you do a small job for me? It is to do down to Logan’s shop by the river & ask for John or Young Logan, and ask him why he has not sent my sliding seat wh. I ordered in the May term, and also whether he got a letter from me asking him to send me some dimentions [DIAG HERE] and would you get these dimentions for me.

A the hight of top of seat from heals on the stretcher

C, B & D so that I can make a stretcher, of right slope, on second thought D is not of much important. but [angle]ϑ is, & so is A. Let me know when you go home, as very likely shall run up for a Sunday; I’m doing civil engineers work, leveling & I shall have to draw some coal stores and reservoir soon, I’m very glad to get some of this work, How is the astronomy getting on? I want to hear when I see you abt. the boat experiment with Rayleigh.

Yours ever. | H Darwin
