We go to S—ton early on Friday, & I advise you to go the day you get this. I made a mild fish to get you invited here but it did not bite. I am afraid your scheme failed in some way by your appearing so soon at Down.

Will you ask Parslow to pack up the crockery & send by Rail to Josiah Wedgwood & Sons | Etruria | Staffordshire | & pay the carriage all the way if poss—

Poor Old Wm cannot read a bit & I think our visit will be a godsend to him
