Ann Fox died April 7. 1859
My dear Darwin
My Sisters tell me you wish for the date of my dear Mothers death. I have placed it above.
I returned to Town on Friday night and leave again on Monday. I was very sorry (both for cause & effect) that you could not come here.
Owing to what you said— I went to Maskeline’s performance at Egyptian Hall, and never was more mystified as to cause and effect there. The Spirits are Fools to it
I wish your doctor wd order you to the Isle of Wight for a month or two. If he should do such a truly sensible thing, come to us at Sandown for a week, while you chuse your lodgings.
Yours very truly | W. D. Fox
