The Stereotype plates of “Climbing Plants” were sent off to Appleton’s agent, on the 16^th.¹

We will at once send out yr copies & the Press copies of the work & shall issue it to the Booksellers about the 10^th. of November.²

Yes, the “Orchids” is enquired for & I have no doubt a new edition revised would be desirable & would move off quicker than the last edition because we shall be able to advertise an Uniform edition then of your works.³

You say nothing as to the proposed prices of Climbing Plants 6/– & Variations 18/– but I suppose “silence means assent”.⁴
