From E. A. Darwin   30 June [1864]1

June 30

Dear Charles.

Sir H H2 told me yesterday that he had been going over Buxtons brewery3 & he was told as a certain fact that they cannot go on with their own yeast but are obliged to interchange with other breweries. He thought this might interest you.

Yours aff. | E D

The year is established by the relationship between this letter and the letter from Charles Buxton, 21 October 1864.
The reference is to the brewery of Charles Buxton; Buxton was a partner in the brewery of Truman, Hanbury, Buxton & Co. and was Holland’s son-in-law (DNB). See letter to Charles Buxton, 12 October [1864], and letter from Charles Buxton, 21 October 1864.
