Dear Sir
I write merely to say that I despatched this morning four clean sheets. I am glad to say that the 1st. Vol. will contain only about 412 pages & the 2nd. Vol. about 460 but large portions are in small type.2 I have given orders for the stereotypes.3
Dear Sir, | yours faithfully | Ch. Darwin
P.S. I forgot to say in my last letter that I shall make no charge for right of Translation to you: circumstances have led me to charge nothing for German Translation & therefore it could not be fair in me to make any charge for other Translations.—4
When you have occasion to write please inform me whether I must use present long address.—
