My dear Mr Trimen.

Tuesday wd suit me, but another man (Mr. Blyth) is coming to lunch on that day, & as you know that I am not up to more than an hour’s talk, I shd see less of you; so if equally convenient & I do not hear to contrary, I will name Wednesday at 1 oclock2

The date is established by the relationship between this letter and the letter from Roland Trimen, 20 March [1868]. The Saturday after 20 March 1868 was 21 March.
In his letter of 20 March [1868], Trimen had suggested coming to lunch with CD on Tuesday 24 March. CD refers to Edward Blyth.
