From John Provis   20 July 1842

Holyhead.

July 20th. 1842.

Sir,

I have again examined my Section and also the Field Book from which it was laid down, but on neither is the Village of Bethesda shewn. The nearest point I can give you to that place is Tyn-y-maes (a small Inn where the Mail changes horses) which is 604.9 Feet above the Road in front of the Hotel at Holyhead.

I remain | Sir | Your obedt Servant | John Provis Chas. Darwin Esqre
