My Dear Sir

I have the pleasure to enclose my note of hand for £630" making with former payment by cheque 800 Guineas for the Second Edn of Descent of Man. Down to the present time I have sold 1300 out of the 2,000 of 2nd. Edn.1 In a few days more I shall be able to decide on the number to be printed for 3d. Edn probably 2,000 will be wanted2
