Dear Sir

I am much pleased at the honour which you propose to do me by translating my Journal of researches in Swedish.2 Your name is more than sufficient guarantee for your performing the work faithfully. There are a few woodcuts in the book, & if you think it worth while, I feel sure that the publisher Mr. Murray would at my request supply you with stereotypes at very little or nothing beyond their cost price.3
