2. Bryanston St

Wednesday Evening

My dear Sir

I hope & think that I shall be well enough to see you tomorrow, if you have time & inclination.—2 Would it suit you to call here early between at 912 or 10 oclock, as I am generally briskest in the morning; but if that wd. not suit you, 1o oclock for luncheon wd. probably do very well for me.— If I am fit for anything I have a call to pay at about 11 oclock.

Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin

Will you send me a line in answer.

CD had invited Romanes for Wednesday 9 December 1874 (see letter to G. J. Romanes, [7 December 1874]), but Emma Darwin’s diary (DAR 242) records that he was in bed that day.
