From Ellen Hutchins to Dawson Turner   6 Jun 1812

Jun. 6

I have only time to say thank you for all your kindness. The specimens of American Mosses I have got quite safe. They are quite a treasure, how can I sufficiently thank you for dividing your specimens when you had so little. I am better very much, indeed quite strong again, but I had a desperate attack of bilious colic & then when I was relieved from that had tooth ache that kept me awake & prevented me from getting strength. I enclose a few Lichens & two Jungermanniæ for Mr Hooker. I shall write you a long letter in a day or two & send more specimens of the Mosses in my last & a few other little Matters. I hope before summer passes to do more for you. One of my best pleasures is that of finding any thing for you. Love to little Ellen from your faithful friend
