My dear Sir
I enclose you the Hieracium I promised in my last letter. I begin to doubt that No. 2 is Cerinthoides of which I have a plant in the garden that was given to me by Mr Drummond at Cork, but you will be able to decide by the specimen I sent you.
I also send a few Mosses & some Jungermanniae for Mr Hooker, & hope you & he will find them interesting. I am working for him as fast as I possibly can. His first No. I have got & am as much delighted with it as you could expect. Pray give him my thanks. I feel anxious to hear from you that I may know you are all well. Doctor Taylor has returned from the Kerry mountains without bringing many rarities. One thing that he brought the fruit of Tortula tortuosa which is very rare. I divide with you & hope you will be glad of it. I never saw it before, the barren state is very common here.
Yours ever
E.H.
