Dear Sir

I return you Mr Kemp’s paper on the ancient Morrains of the Tweed and Gala for which I request you will convey to him the thanks of the Glasgow Geological society before which the Paper was read and is much valued as illustrative of a new and highly interesting feature in geological science.

I take leave also to request that will transmit Mr Kemp’s Ticket of Membership which I hand you herewith, and if Mr K. can furnish us with any further information either about Morrains or other geological Phenomena it will be highly acceptable.
