Edinburgh—10 York Place

Tuesday

Dear Sir

From David Milne to William Kemp   [c. 1845–6?]

I propose to visit your locality on Thursday next, in order to see the Meigle Pots, supposed Moraines, and the Fairy stone Glen— I will be very glad, to have the advantage of your guidance in my rambles; and hope that you may be able to accompany me.— At all events I trust, that if you are unable to go with me, you will be so kind as give me instructions so as to facilitate my progress— I shall probably go on to Jedburgh in the afternoon, as I wish to visit the Carter on the following day.—

Yours very truly | D. Milne.
