I beg to acknowledge your very friendly letter of the 29th ult. in accordance with which I now think it will be best to wait until you have received from Sir H. Rawlinson the letter which you expect from him- if it appears from that letter that he has any objection to the lithographs being given to me, I shall then beg leave to withdraw my request, as I do not wish to be the cause of any trouble.
