Nice

I have not time to write before the post goes, besides which I have great doubts of this ever reaching you. The weather is delightfully cool & this place in great beauty – Having not received your letter, I cannot understand nor conceive your allusions to your misfortunes at Resina; 1 I am glad you succeeded in getting to Pæstum – I am amusing myself very much – I came across the country from Savona to Coni & over the Col de Tende which was delightful.
