The precious Box came safely “to hand” as they say – and no time was lost in opening it – the Books are indeed most curious & valuable and will form a great & most interesting addition to the Library at Markeaton. ² I am however still more anxious that you should have their History either printed or Photographed & somehow inserted into each volume. –

M^r Mundy desires me to thank you extremely for such a handsome present – which he hopes to do again in person when you return to London – so pray come & look in upon us in the course of the next week – Uncle Harry ³ gave a very good account of Edward Digby ⁴ when he came to see me yesterday – the only fear is that he will do too much – Uncle H^y goes down to Melbury ⁵ Tomorrow. – Jane ⁶ & C^o come from Treguny[?] on the 6^th –
