My dear Sir,

Mr Boscawen ¹ has unpacked the cases from Baghdad. Some of the Tablets were in bad condition owing to indifferent packing. The greater part is a series of contract Tablets but there are some others of interest amongst them An account will appear in next weeks Athenæum ² and Academy. Smiths ³ papers have arrived but offer little interest. The Fund ⁴ goes on perfectly well
