TALBOT1377

Worthing

22d February

Carissimo Eurico Mio 1

I consider it a fortunate incident that you were obliged to make this short absence before the long one, to break me in by degrees to a privation I shall feel au vif. 2 Even Giovanni 3 is a consolation to my Eyes as it shows you are not all gone, but your room looks too dismal, I cannot bear the sight of it. I hope you will get a comprehensive Medicine Chest, multum in parvo, 4 full of all those things requisite in hot & infectious places, with store of concocted & concentrated comestibles which help often to keep off the intrusion of miasmata. Take care of yourself for my sake as well as your own, for without you this world is to me a vast desert, & I should be totally inaccessible to all comfort, & insensible to all that it could give. I wish it may be settled we are to meet you somewhere in some part of Europe

God Bless You My Dearest
