TALBOT1407

no 7.

Modena
22d March

My Dear Mother

I am breakfasting here – I came from Parma this morning – The spring does not appear more advanced than in France & England – Everybody wears cloaks, and many are clad in furs – It is however a bright sunny morning – Yesterday it was so cold & rainy & the country so uninteresting that I imagined myself to be [illegible deletion] travelling in Denmark or Prussia –

Yours afftly Son
H.T.
