My dearest
You have so contrived it that you have missed all our letters both at Corfu & Florence, 2 so that I have to repeat the painful intelligence Mr F. 3 conveyed to you above a month ago, of the death of my beloved Sister 4 which followed that of her Son 5 in less than six Weeks. We all wrote you many melancholy Letters which I will not now repeat to spoil the pleasure of your journey & as it is doubtful your finding this at Coblentz I shall merely keep to facts. Lord Lansdowne 6 has lent us his villa at Richmond which has given me the first pleasurable sensation since you left England. But on the 1st August he is going to begin making alterations so that we must then leave it, but it is a delightful place & the fresh air will do Horatia 7 so much good. Lord Winchilsea 8 is rather better, but not well enough for Mr F. to think he can go far off. I have been & am very nervous, & for some weeks have not been able to sleep, nor shall I till I can change the scene, we move to Richmond next Monday the 3d July - direct always here
God bless you
Sir Charles Lemon's 9 first idea was to join you abroad & go to new places, but he has given that up not knowing yr schemes
