TALBOT1477

Chippenham 1

13th Septr 1826

Dear Sir,

I understand that the expence of selling these few small Lots at Lacock would be about £5.. 10 .. 0

I send Mr Darley’s 2 Bills of last Year as you desire –

The Bit of Wood Land No 200– is valued exclusive of Timber, of which, however, there is scarcely any of much value – It is a Strip of Land leading to other People’s Woods & so unproductive, that I thought it would be very desirable to part with it, if a Customer could be found – If the Person who may buy the old Cottage, wishes (as I expect he will) for the Withey <sic> Beds, they will possibly fetch you the Price you mention – but if the Cottage should not sell, I do not expect the Withey Beds will, either – I shall probably be in Town on Monday next, in my way into Yorkshire, where I have some Business to transact – & should you be be <sic> at home about One oClock, I hope I may have the pleasure of receiving your final instructions, in person –If you should be going out, I will beg the favor of your leaving a Note for me & I will write to Mr Darley from Town, as you may decide –

I intend taking the same opportunity of bringing the last Year’s Account & Vouchers –

I am Dear Sir
Yr obliged & obedt Sert

W. H. Awdry
