My Dear Henry
Caroline 2 & I called yesterday on Mrs Mundy 3 & were very jealous to hear you had written to them & not to us. Perhaps you do not think I am still here, or you would have answered my note. Caroline & Lord V. 4 might set off to Hatfield Her Child 5 has been unwell, which has kept us here so much longer. You will find Horatia & Mr F. 6 ready to receive you Thursday, & I hope I shall be there too, but I cannot be certain as long as the Babe is not quite recovered. The Dorsetshire Peasant who we took such pains to get all that way for him, has the Maladie du pais 7 & declares she had rather be a gleaner as she was before, than inhabit the finest Nursery in London. Caroline was very low at parting with him, & must have a high opinion of my savoir faire ever to have consented it – Do write me a line I shall be sure to get it before I go
