I cannot engrave Dtypes as they are not trans^pt but if y will send me a (pos^ve) phot^ph on paper, or better still on glass, taken f^m y^r Dtype I will try what I can do with it.

The engraved steel plates give as many impress^ns as ordinary steel plates do, that is, 3 or 4 thous^d

I cannot engrave Daguerreotypes as they are not transparent but if you will send me a positive photograph on paper, or better still on glass, taken from your Daguerreotype I will try what I can do with it.
