Penrhyn Castle Bangor N:W
July 29 1829
Dear Mr Talbot
I lose no time in answering your note which Mr Pennant 1 gave me on my arrival here a few minutes ago. We shall stay here till the 9th or 10th of August when we return to [illegible] & come back again hither at the first week of September to stay some time. & we hope then to meet Mr Hopper 2 here
It will give us great pleasure if you arrange your plans to be in this neighbourhood, at either of the above mentioned periods. & we wish we had it in our power to offer you the accommodation of a bed, which we regret the present state of Penrhyn will not allow us to do, as we are only in a make shift sort of way here. I assure you the delightful verdure of the country & beautiful views make me think the hot rooms of London ten times more disagreeable than I find them at the time I am enjoying them. Pray remember me vy kindly to Lady Elis. & Cn Feilding 3
Yrs try
Eliz Dawkins Pennant
If we can be of any use in prospecting a room for you at the “Penrhyn Arms 4 Hotel Bangor N: Wales pray let us know.
